71st independence day. The whole country celebrates with great pomp and splendour and so did we.
Though rains played a spoilsport, our enthusiasm overcame it and we at SPS went on with the function.
The pride of India, the national flag, was hoisted by Mr.Suresh, president of Samudra trust, along with the trustees.
A brief about Sri Bhagat Singh was rendered by a student, which was listened to by all of us with interest . Secretary of the school, Dr.Srikanth gave a small speech regarding the importance of Independence, our culture and how we at SPS have to try our hand at making inventions that will benefit the local farmers.
Mr. Suresh gave a wonderful speech about the freedom fighters, the ways of life, how we are supposed to respect others and also how to refrain from pointing mistakes and instead try to motivate positively.
A wonderful dance followed by the tiny tots fancy dress session followed suit. The kids also came as Lord Krishna in lieu of Krishna Janmashtmi which was a visual treat to say the least.
The vote of thanks was followed by sweet distribution. In summary, a day to cherish.
